This page explains, in plain language, what information Intag Laptops collects from you, why we collect it, how we use it, and what choices you have. We are a Pakistani laptop retailer; we are not in the business of selling customer data, and this policy is written to be readable rather than to fill a legal checkbox.

1. Who we are

Intag Laptops is a laptop retailer operating out of two physical storefronts in Pakistan (Saddar, Rawalpindi and Wah Cantt) and an online catalogue at intaglaptops.com. We are a Shopify-hosted store. We do not have a payment gateway or a checkout in the traditional sense — orders are confirmed through WhatsApp, phone or in-store, and dispatched after advance payment or COD with partial advance.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • To complete an order: your name, delivery address, contact number, CNIC (only where required for courier or regulated payment), and the model you are buying.
  • When you message us on WhatsApp or call: your name, phone number, and the contents of the conversation (used to follow up on your inquiry).
  • If you sign up for a Shopify customer account on intaglaptops.com: name, email, password (stored hashed by Shopify), and any addresses you save.
  • If you contact us by email: your email address and the contents of your message.

Information we collect automatically

  • Website analytics: when you browse intaglaptops.com we collect standard web analytics — pages visited, referring source, device type, approximate location, time on page. We use Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console for this. This data is aggregated and used to improve the site, not to identify individual visitors.
  • Cookies: Shopify sets functional cookies needed for the site to work (cart, session, language). Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook) pixel may set additional analytics/advertising cookies. You can refuse cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work in that case.
  • Server logs: standard request logs (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp), kept by Shopify for security and abuse prevention.

What we do not collect

  • We do not collect payment card details on intaglaptops.com — there is no online card checkout. Card payments only happen at our physical POS in Saddar, Rawalpindi, which is processed by the bank's terminal, not by us.
  • We do not collect biometric data.
  • We do not buy customer lists from third parties.

3. Why we collect this information

  • To process and dispatch your order, and to share tracking once the courier picks it up.
  • To verify your order (the WhatsApp / phone confirmation step before dispatch).
  • To process warranty claims and post-sale support.
  • To send order-related messages (confirmation, dispatch, delivery, warranty service updates).
  • To send occasional marketing messages about new stock, price drops, or offers — only if you have opted in.
  • To improve the website, identify which models and content people are looking for, and fix issues.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or misuse of the website and our courier accounts.

4. Who we share it with

We share the minimum amount of your information needed to complete a service, and only with parties that have a direct role in delivering your order or running the website. Specifically:

  • Courier companies: name, delivery address, contact number, parcel value (for the parcels they carry). The courier needs this to deliver to you.
  • Shopify: as our e-commerce host, Shopify processes order data on its servers. Shopify's privacy practices are governed by its own policy.
  • Google (Analytics & Search Console): aggregated, pseudonymous traffic data.
  • Meta (Facebook): the Facebook pixel may capture page events for advertising measurement. You can opt out of personalised ads in your Facebook settings.
  • Banks and payment processors: only the transaction reference for payments you make to us.
  • Government / law enforcement: only when legally compelled by a valid order from a Pakistani authority.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent or trade customer lists. We do not share your details with third-party marketers.

5. How long we keep your information

  • Order records: kept for as long as needed for warranty, returns, accounting and tax compliance — minimum 1 year, typically 3 years.
  • WhatsApp conversations: retained for follow-up and warranty support, generally not deleted unless requested.
  • Customer account data: kept until you ask us to delete it.
  • Website analytics: aggregated and retained per Google's default retention (14 months).

6. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Browse intaglaptops.com without creating an account. We do not require an account to view the catalogue.
  • Ask us what information we hold about you. WhatsApp or email us and we will share the relevant order records.
  • Ask us to correct any wrong information.
  • Ask us to delete your account / contact records, subject to legal record-keeping obligations (we may need to retain transaction records for tax purposes even after deletion).
  • Opt out of marketing messages at any time — reply "STOP" to any WhatsApp marketing message, or ask the sales team to remove you from the broadcast list.
  • Refuse cookies in your browser. The site will still function for browsing.

6a. Advertising and ad personalisation

If you have seen an Intag laptop ad on Google, Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube, that ad was served through the advertising platforms we use (Google Ads and Meta Ads). The platforms use cookies and device identifiers to measure ad performance and to show you laptop ads that are likely to be relevant.

You can control or opt out of personalised advertising at the platform level:

  • Google ads: visit myadcenter.google.com to control personalised ads across Google services.
  • Facebook / Instagram ads: Settings → Ads → Ad preferences.
  • Browser-level: install a tracker-blocking extension, or use your browser's "Do Not Track" setting.

Opting out of personalised advertising does not stop ads — it changes them from "ads about laptops you have viewed" to generic ads.

7. Security

The website runs on Shopify, which is PCI-DSS compliant and handles its own security at the platform level. Internally, customer data on our systems is access-controlled to the sales and accounts teams. We don't claim to be a bank — if any part of our process feels off (e.g. someone messages you from a different number claiming to be Intag), please verify the WhatsApp number against this page (+92 303 3333627) before transferring any money.

8. Children

Intag's products and website are intended for adult buyers. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared personal information with us, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our operations or applicable laws change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision. For material changes, we will note them at the top of this page for at least 30 days after the change.
